Description

Alley is an elegant WordPress theme, carefully crafted with a focus on readability and great visitor experience. It was designed with personal blogs in mind, but it will suit the needs of any advanced professional blogs and simple news/magazine websites as well.

Installation

  1. In your admin panel, go to Appearance > Themes and click the Add New button.
  2. Click Upload Theme and Choose File, then select the theme's .zip file. Click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate to use your new theme right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Alley use featured images?

Alley makes us of Featured Images, which helps to visually tell your story. Featured Images are displayed below the title on the blog posts and archive pages. A smaller version of the image is used on the blog index page. For the optimal result, provide an image at least 1200px wide.

Does this theme support any plugins?

Alley includes support for WooCommerce and for Infinite Scroll in Jetpack.

How to add a menu?

Alley comes with one Custom Menu in the header, which can be configured via Customizer at Menus. This menu is hidden by default, and will not be displayed unless a Custom Menu is assigned. Alley No Support Sub-Menu.

Where can I add Social Media icons below the main menu?

Configure these by going to Customizer > Social Media Settings in your Dashboard.

Where can I add widgets?

Alley includes widgets areas: Footer One & Footer Two. Configure these areas by going to Customizer > Widgets in your Dashboard.
