Description

This theme features maximizing the use of images as a way to give a site a unique look.
It does this by creating a layout that adapts well to a variety of different header videos and header images as well as background images.
It also gives users the option to decide how to allow mobile browsers to utilize images and videos.
Users may find that they can create a unique look by just uploading a video and a few images. Finally, it includes a sticky navbar and slidepanel menu for mobile browsers.

Installation

  1. In your admin panel, go to Appearance > Themes and click the Add New button.
  2. Click Upload Theme and Choose File, then select the theme's .zip file. Click Install Now.
  3. Click Activate to use your new theme right away.

  • Removed a call to block-variation.js that was a non-existent file. The call was made in the functions.php file around line 265.

1.0.17 - July 10, 2024

  • Updated the open and close icons html in header.php to include a height and width. Tested WordPress 6.6. No other updates appeared necessary.

  • A breaking change appears to have been introduced in the latest wordpress update. A new method of setting the background video had to be implemented in the header.php file. And the .pot file had to be updated.

  • Tested using PHP 8.1:
  1. In functions.php remote block patterns was no longer turned off, but support for core is still removed.
  2. customizer was updated so that cover with images has rounded inner images set to important.

  1. Created consistent sub-menu colors and borders.

  • The text in the screenshot was changed, and the link for the theme attribution in the footer was updated.

0.1 - 0.9 - September 21, 2022

  • This theme is authored by Bob Wilson. It is based on my Big Media theme. The primary purpose of this theme is to increase compatibility with block patterns. The following updates have been made:
  1. Removed featured video due to lack of demand and complexity of use.
  2. Removed background image style from block images due to lack of necessity.
  3. Added controls for the space between the body and the top of the page.
  4. Added extended navbar and footer color controls.
  5. Added extended borders.
  6. Extended functionality of block patterns and made each pattern theme compatible.
